Danish artists scared of Islam

Danish artists scared of Islam

Since the murder of the Islam critical Dutch film director Theo van Gogh, and the violent attack on a lecturer at the Danish Carsten Niebuhr Institute, Danish artists are fearful of criticising Islam. Author, Kåre Bluitgen, is due to publish a book on the profit Mohammed in two weeks time, but so far no one has agreed to illustrated the work through fear of reprisals from Islamic extremists. According to the author, three artists have turned down an offer to illustrate the book based on their fear of being attacked if they do so. The president of the Danish Writers Union, Frants Iver Gundelach, said that it is a gross attack on freedom of speech, and the issue will be taken up at the next union meeting.

It's the wearing down of the Infidels that I have read about before. The dhimmitude that emerges from Muslim infiltration and immigration doesn't have that shock value from an attack and enslavement that was more common in the previous 1000 years of jihad. It's cancerous. It is hardly noticeable at first, but the demands get more uncomfortable as time goes on, and then, when the patient knows there is something seriously wrong with him, the cancer has ravaged the body.

What do the gays in Amsterdam think of all this Islamic dhimmitude demands and punishment for those who criticize? Are they quaking in their boots? Are they fleeing the Netherlands? Are they becoming dhimmis? Maybe the pretty young ones can join some rich Muslim's harem of boy toys. Or are they fighting back?

I hope they are fighting back.

Dhimmitude, Denmark-style. Next Muslims will protest and threaten if anyone dares to build a church.

If the government won't protect its own citizens from physical violence then perhaps it is time for citizens to organize to protect themselves. Where is underground group of native Danes who will stand up to this intimidation?

Well, I see that both axis and thomas are thinking along the same lines as I: I was going to post as follows:

This amounts to virtual and intellectual -- if not legal -- dhimmitude.

It is a sad state of affairs if the once pagan Viking -- and subsequently (though formerly) boldly Protestant Christian -- Danes have become such a band of simpering wimps that they cannot together muster ample courage to throw these threats back in the teeth of these Islamic cultural intruders and -- in turn, throw a few threats of their own back in their general direction.

It is "reasonable" to be afraid of death. I don´t think freedom has ever reigned anywhere. Islam is only a different face for an old satanic power that rules the world.

May be there will be individuals or small groups that fight back, but they will be crashed by the legal authorities.
I don´t think these problems could really exist without the complicity of part of the ruling power in the world.

It looks like we go to some kind of authoritarian government in the whole world, and it is easier to get it if people are so scared that demands security at any cost.

jmaria - my thoughts exactly. There is definitely complicity on the part of the ruling powers of the world preparatory to their move towards an authoritarian world government - first requirement - a frightened and powerless populace who will exchange many freedoms for what they see as security and safety.

Kierkegaard is spinning in his grave. I doubt he even imagined Danish society could fall so far, so fast.
